LONDON (14 March 2008) The London office of international law firm Faegre & Benson LLP advised long-standing client StatPro, a provider of portfolio analytics and data solutions for the global asset management industry, on its acquisition of Performa, a supplier of software solutions, for £8 million in a combination of cash and shares.
The acquisition of Performa is aimed at strengthening StatPros product and service offerings to asset managers globally. Performa provides software to asset managers to assist compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS(R)) and has 25 largely blue-chip clients based in the UK, Europe and North America.
Faegre & Benson advised StatPro on its flotation on the London Stock Exchange in May 2000 as well as its transfer to AIM in June 2003. Since March 2000, StatPro has completed 10 acquisitions and Faegre & Benson has advised on each of these.
The Faegre & Benson team was led by Anthony Gordon in London, assisted by Nick Jennings and Lisa Comber. Kathryn Dowsett advised on the real estate aspects of the transaction and Alex Denny on the employment aspects. The principal shareholders of Performa Consultants UK Limited were advised by Lewis Silkin.
