LONDON (24 April 2008) The London office of international law firm Faegre & Benson LLP advised EDS, a leading global technology services company, on its acquisition of Vistorm, a leading provider of information assurance and managed security services. The deal was led by Donald Stewart. Melanie Wadsworth, Simon Hughes and Oliver Staple completed the team. The Reading office of Osborne Clarke acted for Vistorm.
EDS will combine its existing capabilities in IT security in the UK into the new Vistorm entity. This combination of resources will create an organisation with approximately 400 information security specialists in the EMEA market, making it a formidable European provider of information security services, as well as having industry-leading tools, software platforms and IT security methodologies.
Vistorm specialises in the information security sector, providing specialist consulting, technology and managed services capabilities. Founded in 1991, Vistorm combines these services to offer a complete portfolio of secure infrastructure services and solutions.
